Air Quality Engineering and Permitting
Air Tox personnel have successfully completed State and federal construction and operating air permit applications in many states for a variety of commercial and industrial sources. Our noted experience in interfacing with federal, State and local regulatory agency personnel gives us the knowledge necessary to expedite your projects.
Clean Air Act Title V Permitting & Air toxics evaluation and control
Title III and Title V of the Clean Air Act Ammendments of 1990 and current State Implementation Plans have defined extensive requirements for documenting and reducing the emissions of hazardous and criteria air pollutants. Air Tox personnel have the necessary experience with these constantly evolving State and federal requirements to aid clients
in the following areas:
- Documentation of air pollutant emissions by conducting a comprehensive facility audit to be used in developing an emissions inventory.
- Design and implementation of sophisticated monitoring programs for ambient levels of a wide range of toxic and hazardous air polluants.
- Evaluation of technologies and control systems for reducing emissions of hazardous air pollutants from industrial processes.
In addition, Air Tox determines the appropriate pollution control equipment needed to meet the required emission limits or relevant ambient standards.
- Performance of BACT, RACT, and LAER analyses and the most feasible control technologies are identified with careful consideration of the
technical, operational and economic aspects of the project.
- Development of preliminary design specifications, solicit vendor bids, prepare air permit applications,
supervise installation of the control technology, and complete performance and compliance emissions testing.
